Resident Evil: Retribution Movie Review

FrizzyJ

We've finally come to the silliest of the Resident Evil movies: Resident Evil: Retribution. Unfortunately, this movie had the largest amount of game characters in it.

Alice lives in an Umbrella testing facility now, where they run her through deadly scenarios over and over. Jill Valentine, controlled by another of those pesky spider control devices, is running the experiments. Her security team is made up of clones of the original team from the first movie, including fan favorite Michelle Rodriguez. A jailbreak commences, however, perpetrated by none other than Ada Wong. In the game RE2, Ada Wong was a spy (or a mercenary, anyone could have been lying) that saved Leon Kennedy's life and guided him to the lab in the sewers. And speaking of Leon, guess who appears in this movie? Go ahead, guess.

Like many of the rest of the movies in this franchise, Resident Evil: Retribution is great for entertainment value, but there isn't much for coherent story here.
