As chaos floods the streets of Raccoon City, players take control of Jill Valentine, suspended police officer on the Special Tactics and Rescue Squad (S.T.A.R.S.), as an invincible, huge humanoid monster in a gimp suit chases her down. Resident Evil 3 occurs at approximately the same time as RE2, with some neat crisscrossing story elements that bring a level of continuity to the game experience.
I had a blast playing this game. It was suspenseful and full of jump scares, with believable characters and unbelievable events. There was also a massive difference between the RE3 Remake and the RE2 Remake: there is ammo. Like, everywhere. I was an angel of death for the pestilent undead cretins that plagued the streets of MY city. However, it's short.
The game was very short on secondary playthroughs. In fact, after you complete the story once, you unlock the shop, which allows you to trade your scored points for equipment. I still don't know exactly how the score is calculated, but it seemed that the faster you completed the game, the more points you gain. So, the first play is meant to be immersive, and after that they are meant to be quick and brutal.
A great game. I would recommend it.
