In a world where swords can flash from scabbards
And rend lives apart
From any quarter
From Friend and Foe and Family alike
When arrows fall from the ceiling
And screens deliver axeheads honed to shred through flesh
Our phones cast illusory spells and charms
I stand my ground and try to live
Unslain and untaken
I try to build a life that I can love
A life to build my family upon
Where I won’t have to trust in those around
A world where I can rule alone
A life where I don’t have to atone
For crimes of kin and king
Join me on this pile of bones
And I will build a haven
We can stand and heal and build
When all around is death and rot
A bastion of freedom
In a wasted land
Come, stay awhile
And wait out the bloodshed
Trade some tales and drink our ales
And maybe tonight the night will brighten just a bit
